Not long before his death, Tina’s father-in-law asked her, ‘What was it all for?’ She couldn’t answer him, so she decides to explore the finales of her favourite stories, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Lord of the Rings and Casablanca, as well as her own brushes with success, to find the answer. To her horror she discovers that despite their best efforts, the hero does not always end up with the prize. But if life is not about succeeding, then what is it for?
